The guidance of the Spirit in the Work

Hey y'all! Since being in Mount Vernon I've had a few experiences that have helped me realize how much Heavenly Father really cares about the little things. He really does love us, with all His heart and His only desire is that we do what we need to so we can get back to Him. And He's doing all He can to help us on the way. One instance where this was made evident to me again was on Monday. We had spent most of the day talking to people and looking for those who were truly desirous to come to know and follow Christ, and it was getting late. We stay out until 9:30pm if we are teaching someone, and if not we are asked to be home by 9pm. It's really close to that time and we were just leaving an apartment building and it's pitch black outside. Before we leave the awning of the building and get to the sidewalk, this car with dark windows pulls up and stops like they're ready to pick someone up, and then the most peculiar thing happened. I had the thought, "go talk to whoever is in that car." Without thinking twice about it, I walked right up to the window, and knocked. My companion was already walking back towards home but turned around when he heard me knock. The window rolls down and it's this lady. I asked her some questions, talked about Jesus and Families and asked if the girl missionaries could come by and share with her why families are so important in God's plan. She was really excited.
God had made sure that we were at that specific building at that specific time so that I could get the prompting to talk to a random car driver and help her come closer to Christ. I'm so glad I listened to that little voice. The Lord truly cares about every one of us. He cared enough about Monique to direct my companion and I to a totally different part of town to be at that apartment just so we could talk to her. I am so grateful for the chance to be a missionary and be the vessel that the Lord can use in His work.
